I am a 24 year old woman, born and raised in Ontario. I currently live in Alberta. I moved here a little over a year and a half ago with my boyfriend. With both of us eager to pay off our debt, we packed up all of our belongings into my Nissan Sentra and headed for Fort McMurray. The drive was over 5000 kilometres. We made the trip in about 3 days, stopping for 2 nights in Minnesota and Saskatoon. We opted to drive through the United States. My boyfriend assured me that this would be a more scenic route than the drive through Canada in November. Things have been going very well for us. It's a very different way of life here. My boyfriend and I work the same schedule, it's something called a 7/7 rotation meaning we work a 12 hour shift for 7 consecutive days and then we are off for 7 consecutive days. This was a big change for us, coming from Ontario and working a traditional 9-5 job for 5 days a week followed by a 2 day weekend. We also work 1 week of day shifts and then 1 week of night shifts. I had never worked shift work before but let me tell you, that took some time to get used to!
I am a Virgo. I was born on the 3rd of September 1995. For those of you that don't follow Astrology me telling you that I'm a Virgo means absolutely nothing and that's okay! I find this topic fascinating. I am no expert but I do consider myself an Astrology enthusiast. A Virgo can easily be described as hard-working, creative, reliable, patient, kind, critical and stubborn individual with a tendency to over-think E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. My tendency to overthink is actually one of the main reasons I decided to start this blog. I figured this would be a great way to channel my thoughts, express myself and share my experiences. I love engaging in meaningful conversations and I can't wait to interact with all your beautiful souls.
I enjoy reading, listening to music, drinking wine, doing yoga, creating makeup looks, being sarcastic and lately I've been acquiring a strange number of house plants. I am an empathetic person and I find joy in helping others. I do my best to promote happiness everywhere I go. Trust me, maintaining a positive attitude is not easy and I still work on this everyday.
For quite some time now I've been feeling lost. I've been searching for my purpose in life. I used to be someone who always had a plan but I've come to realize that plans don't always work out the way you thought they would. This was and still is an overwhelming experience. I'm taking the baby steps now, learning, growing, healing, and now sharing what's working for me. I think this blog is something that I've secretly wanted to do for a long time but I constantly doubted myself. Finally here I am, eager and ready to share my experiences as a Stressed Out Millennial. Welcome to my blog and happy reading!
